Shortcomings of Humanity

Protests in Tehran claimed 19 lives, so far, with estimates putting it at 150... The belief in playing fair is one which I feel is idealistic and irrational... For no sane living being would risk so much and play things fair for the sake of sportsmanship... the one thing that humanity has been incredibly apt at for scores of years is by means of eliminating the competition... hence, the arms race, the bow an arrow once the pinnacle of weapons technology, today the world has turned towards nuclear proliferation... in a more subtle facet, we see accounts of defamation and character assassination committed towards prominent figures, we observe how the media has been perverted into providing a means for humanity's need to have leverage over another in any situation regardless, in cyberspace we observe mudslinging between parties...

What comes to question here today is why bother promote sportsmanship when humanity has proven itself over again that it does not have the capacity to do so... Call me fascist scum if you'd want, but due to such shortcomings, sometimes, a totalitarian state ought to be the way to go...

With regard to the coming elections for the Pre-Law Club in UiTM Kedah, I feel that there is no need for any form of mudslinging or name calling, no need for defamatory blogposts or text messages of any form, if you can stand up in a crowd and proudly claim the various feats that you have accomplished, I say you ought to have just as much guts to conceed to the various downs you have had your share in... So I say, let Monday come and hear them out and leave democracy to work itself out, even if good ol' Winston Churchill called it a whole load of bollocks...
